After The School Bell Rings: A Manitoba After School Recreation Project\u2019. The project, funded through the Public Health Agency of Canada and the Province of Manitoba until March 2013, will promote and support increased access and opportunities for children and youth, ages 6-12 years, to engage in physical activity and healthy living practices in the critical after school time period. The project will include pilot project funding; resource development; training opportunities; and communication strategies directed at increasing physical activity, healthy eating and active transportation in after school programs.
